3 days from 30

Oh, twenties.  A good decade indeed.  My twenties brought me my husband, my daughter, and my photo on a magazine cover [well, the back cover, but pretty close].  I graduated from college three times, started my career, taught every grade kindergarten through 8th at five different schools.  I've traveled to ten states, visited Disneyland close to twenty times, and went on my first multi-state road trip.  I've loved my career choice, and also fantasized about tending bar out with the cool kids on more than one account.  I've owned four cars, and even today you can still see me driving around town in my very first car.  I've experienced both the joys and griefs of friendship, and the same can go for family.  My twenties made me a sushi fanatic, and on that note, I actually started trying foods in this decade [avocado comes to mind.  Seriously, I'm not sure what teenage me was doing].  I learned how to use a camera, and practiced a lot.  I realized that I actually love writing, and that I'm much better at it than being a reader [maybe in my next life, or retirement].  I've owned the fact that I can't cook, but I can make a box cake like nobody's business, and recently I've delved into decorating them too. Oh, and I've written two blogs.
I'm excited for thirty.  Life is good right now, and the older I get, the more I realize that I have complete control over my happiness.  If you aren't adding to the picture I'm taking, that's fine, but I'm not going to stress about it, and I sure don't have time to try to fix everything.  I'm not sure what the next decade will bring, but I sure am excited for it, and I do have some thoughts on where I want it to go.  And so, those are just a few of my thoughts, three days from thirty.
