The Mr. and I became Passholders to Disneyland a few years back. In fact, I was just a few weeks pregnant with Everly when we bought our first annual pass to Disneyland, and didn't even know it. Needless to say, we have done Disneyland A LOT in the past three years. We talked about traveling other places this year instead of feeling like every vacation should be Disneyland in order to make our passes 'worth it'. So with that in mind, this past year we decided to just take a couple single day trips - one to the Halloween Party, and one for a quick trip while I was in LA for a work conference. One morning last month I woke up with a major desire to take Everly to Disneyland again. We had a BLAST in January. Seriously, when you picture those perfect Disneyland commercials, we were that family. After proposing another quick trip to Disneyland before school was out to the Mr., he then came home hours later from work suggesting we just do passes another year. YES PLEASE! This is the time, this is the moment. Growing up in a Disneyland family, Everly will most likely always hold this place as a special one. But this time will be like no other. She is princess obsessed, Pixar obsessed, and in her words, everything is 'amazing'. We have time to travel to other places, but for now, our travel is going to focus on this moment we are in.
This weekend we will renew our passes for a third year, and yes, having it be the year of Disneyland's 60th anniversary isn't too bad either. Oh, and our child is still free, so seriously, the stars are aligned here folks. Everly has been hitting her Disney movies pretty hard in preparation for our trip. Monsters Inc. and Hook are two of her favorites. And yes, I know that Hook is technically not a Disney movie, but she loves all things Peter Pan, and for now, she's taking a break from the animated version. The best part, when you ask her where she is going this weekend, she literally exclaims, "DISNEYLAND", and then follows that up by all the princesses she is going to hug, and all the rides she's going to ride. So I'm pretty much an emotional mess by the joy my child is experiencing currently. Our little family is off to the happiest place on earth, and we really couldn't be any happier about it.
Here's one photo from each of Everly's trips so far...can't hardly wait to add to it!
Can you tell the one REALLY unplanned trip - the one where we didn't even bring a camera ;)
