little buddies

last week we visited our friends and their newest addition to their family.  I really wasn't sure how everly was going to react to seeing a newborn.  I was pretty sure there were going to be a lot of questions, like when she was going to her own little baby brother or sister.  and since that isn't happening, I was ready with my statements for her. however, she wasn't too concerned about this new little playmate, right now, her biggest focus is getting to play with her buddy lennon.  one day soon, the three of them are going to have the best time, but for now, these two are pretty adorable together.

and continue to spread some love and joy through photography

so tonight I am trying to tie up some loose ends

finish editing some photos of Lennon before he is another month old

finish writing a post I started writing the other night

so I can actually obtain the whole "contributing author" status

and maybe even get just a couple of minutes where I am not a mom or a teacher

[which is hard to do when working mom guilt is a real big thing for me]

a little too often, and instead of editing them out

Last week while all of us were off work for Thanksgiving break our little group of teachers got together.  Now that we are done with our masters we do not get to spend as much time together, so we are doing our best to still see each other often. We've decided to make our pre-Thanksgiving brunch a yearly tradition.  After we all had so much fun together, Erin stuck around so we could get some photos of her little guy just before he turned one month old!

a halloween surprise - Lennon is here!

Well, there is a new consensus in the group - you want to have your baby, hang out with me.  Among my friends it is known that Everly came pretty quick, one afternoon I'm was in class, and the next morning, she was born.  I have now been around two mama's the night before our two newest babies were born, making me the "have your baby quick" charm.

  Lennon was born just about an hour into Halloween, the perfect birthday for him because his parents also share a love for this fantastically fun holiday.  I was lucky enough to be able to squeeze a quick trip to the hospital after school to take a few photos of him.  And yes, there little man already had a costume brought by one of his grandma's.  This guy is so loved!

and of course, Everly has already decided she is in love 

and because it turns out that having tiny babies is a stressful situtation

we are already joking that we are going to create a mom group
