Hazel is happiness

Oh the days when my baby would look into my camera and just stare, and smile, and grin.  Because back in the day [or several months ago] my little Everly was obsessed with my camera.  The look of it, the clicking sound it made, it would instantly grab her attention.  These days she's gotten over it, and now she prefers taking pictures on the camera herself.  Sure, the camera body is old, and heavy, and I have to help her hold it, but all the same, it is pretty cute.  Except, I don't get the kinds of pictures that I used to, unless I bring my camera over to friends houses and take too many photos of their littles.

Here is Hazel, loving my camera at seven months, and giving me some adorable pictures for her mom and dad.  Thanks Hazel, I think we have a few more months of this awesomeness.  And then, actions shots for you too!

I love how stoic this little shoot started off, and then she remembered how much she loved my camera.  Thanks Hazel, I think you are pretty cool too!

Hazel [three months]

You know how sometimes it seems just a little too hard to see friends often.  There is always something else that needs to be done.  Right now, I am thankful for the little ones that are around me, and the fact that they give me a really good reason to see their fun moms while I snap some pictures of their cuteness.

This week I had a training on Disciplinary Literacy for school, and it just so happened to be in the neighborhood of miss Hazel's mom, so we made some magic happen, and even got to sit down and chat for a few minutes.  And even though my camera battery died super fast [turns out it helps when you keep your camera in the "off" position when you aren't using it] we were still able to get some major Hazel cuteness.

ten on ten [december 2013]

I cannot believe that it is already the last ten on ten of 2013

it has been one amazing year

and I am so glad that I have been able to be a little part of this project

each and every month of 2013!

now for those of you who only drop by on the tenth

spread some goodness [hazel turns one month!]

Lately, life is crazy.  [Um, is this now how I start every blog post.  Yes, yes it is, not chainging any time soon]  I wish that I could spread some more goodness around me, but my time and energy is limited. However, there is one thing that I am loving to do for others, and that is capture some moments of their littles while they are still that, oh so little.  Last week I got to photograph miss Hazel again, just one day before she turned a month old.  Seeing as how Hazel is a second baby, I understand it gets exponentially harder to photograph them as much as first babes, so that's where I come in.  I am hoping to get to spread a little kindness to others in this way as much as possible, because, hey, I've got a big fancy camera, I might as well use it.  And the old saying is true, practice makes perfect, so I'll keep practicing

so I ask, what little "gift of time" goodness can you spread along?

I love when I hear of others spreading so much kindness in the world

it always inspires me to do better at this

if this can be my little contribution every once in a while, I'm a happy girl
